Education in Sight is an organization with the goal of providing eyeglasses to every needy student so that they can see clearly and better succeed in school.
Targeting the lowest-income communities in rural China, Education in Sight provides free eye exams, eyeglasses, and vision education directly inside schools so that there are no barriers for children. They operate on a simple impact model that has shown how glasses can increase academic performance by over an entire letter grade, and that in the long-term glasses increase productivity in a student by 35%, helping them to escape a cycle of poverty.
